EcoMax Announces Resignation of Director

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 22, 2008) - EcoMax Energy Services Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:EES) ("EcoMax" or the "Company") announces that Walter Maughan has submitted his resignation from the Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Maughan also served as the Chairman of the Company's Audit Committee.

The Board would like to thank Walter for his time, effort and contributions to the Company over the past 11 years. Mr. L.M. (Mike) Santiago has been appointed Chairman of the Audit Committee.
